Explanation: The Farmer is a salesperson
whose skills revolve around growing existing accounts. Unlike the
closely related Account Manager, you can expect this individual to be an
effective closer but not likely to uncover new opportunities.
The positive traits of the Farmer can be found in
other skill sets. Most notably, the Closer contains all these traits. The
selling environment of a Farmer position may be better served with the
Farmer rather than the Closer, however, due to the weaknesses of the
Farmer. A Closer may be perceived as more "disruptive" than a Farmer.
